flOw

Austin Wintory composed the music for the hit video game "flOw". Several of his friends and colleagues contributed a rendition of the theme, compiled here.
Please forgive the occasional buzzed note! This was done really on the fly, and semi-improvised. Absolutely gorgeous chord progression.

Some photos from the road

I've been in tour in Europe now with the LAGQ for about three weeks. During that time, and taken some photos. I'm not very disciplined doing that, but, I'd like to post what I have. These are from West Dean.

Panorama shot of the estate at West Dean. Last time I was here I played for the sheep on this grass. But now they've been moved way up the hill. Pity.

The main building at West Dean College. Incredible.

A studio built for Salvador Dali, who was a frequent visitor here.

The Vicarage where I stayed.

Hallway in main building. Seven-string wizard John Dearman displayed on sofa using the wifi.

And a simply awesome, maybe haunted, staircase.

Would love to come back here with a night vision camera and see what shows up!

Bach, oh Bach!

This would scarcely be a blog about music and coffee without me posting this photo. It was prominently displayed on a wall of the Kaffeeklatsch in Nurtingen, Germany.

PBS Short insight into the GFA!

Really nicely done piece that PBS did on the GFA. They had cameras at this summer's convention at Cal State Fullerton, and it looks great.

New Online Resource

Hey all! It's been a while since I posted.  I'm going to make a better effort at keeping it updated more regularly.
Here's an online "magazine" that the folks at the Iserlohn Guitar Festival are using to post the info on their festival. It's pretty cool! Check it out.

Two Legged Boxer Duncan Lou Who - First Trip to the Beach

I'm on the road with the Quartet right now. I'm slowly getting the flu, and just want to be home. Was feeling down and sorry for myself.

Then I saw a clip from this on the morning news. I immediately looked it up on YouTube and it raised my spirits right away! I've decided I'm going to change my attitude and be like this little guy.

Inspired?
